Alumacraft twin-plated 2XB Hull models actually weigh less than many manufacturers’ competing boats with twin-plating in the bow only.

There’s minimal flexing that can adversely affect handling.

 

THE ALUMACRAFT PROFILE

Our hull’s deep-V shape extends all the way to the transom. This creates natural lift that softens the ride. The concave bottom traps a cushion of air in flat to light chop. This softens bumps, creates lift to increase top end performance and enhances tracking. It also allows for a lower floor and higher gunnels inside the boat.

DEEPER KEEL

Adeeper keel adds strength, helps maintain hull integrity, and increases water contact, thus improving boat handling, tracking and control in all conditions.

LONGER KEEL

Heat-treated, extra strong, one-piece keel
runs nearly the entire length of the boat to
improve handling, control and eliminate doglegging when drift fishing.

 

SLEEKER RAKE

Alumacraft’s sleeker bow rake cuts through big waves to eliminate their pounding affect. This reduces boat bounce and assures a smoother ride even in rough water.

LARGER SPRAYRAIL

Directs spray downward. Larger spray rails have two effects, they keep water spray out of the boat, and they create a downward hydro force that softens the impact of rough water.
